Your forecourt, in your pocket
The Cedars Fuel Automation app gives owners and managers live volume, sales, tank levels, shift status and variance alerts — without calling the station to ask.
Cedars Fuel Automation is the mobile companion to the station platform. It shows today’s dispensed volume and sales value, live tank levels and reorder status, which shifts are open, and the daily variance — plus push alerts when stock runs low or variance moves outside tolerance. Owners with several sites switch between them in the same app.
Built for the owner who is not at the station
Most fuel station owners we work with are not standing on the forecourt. They are at another site, in a meeting, or dealing with a supplier. The question they actually want answered is small and constant: is today normal?
That is what the app is for. Not a replacement for the back office — a two-second check that replaces a phone call, and a push notification for the few things that genuinely cannot wait until you are back at a desk.
Alerts worth turning on
An app that notifies you constantly gets muted within a week, and a muted app protects nothing. So alerts are opt-in and threshold-based: you decide what deserves to interrupt you.
- Low stock. A product crosses your reorder threshold, based on real drawdown rate.
- Variance out of tolerance. The daily reconciliation exceeds the limit you set.
- Shift closed. With the reconciliation summary attached, so you see it before anyone can explain it.
- High water level. Before contaminated fuel reaches a customer.
- Credit limit reached. A postpaid account hits its ceiling.
- Unexpected tank movement. Level changing when no sales are recorded.
The app is a companion to the Cedars automation platform and needs an active station licence and user credentials. It is not a standalone product.

Mobile app FAQ
Is the app available for Android and iOS?
Yes. Cedars Fuel Automation is published on Google Play for Android and is available for iOS. It requires an active station licence and user credentials — it is a companion to the platform rather than a standalone app. View on Google Play.
Can I control the pumps from my phone?
The app is built for monitoring, reporting and alerting. Actions that affect dispensing — authorising a pump, opening or closing a shift — happen at the station, performed by staff with the right role. That keeps accountability where the physical activity is. What each user can do depends on their assigned permissions.
Does everyone need their own login?
Yes, deliberately. Individual credentials and roles determine which stations and figures each person sees, and they mean activity is attributable to a named person rather than a shared account.
How current is the data?
Near real time while the station has connectivity — typically seconds behind the forecourt. If a site loses its connection, the station keeps recording locally and the app shows the last sync time so you know exactly how fresh the figure in front of you is.
Does it work on a weak mobile connection?
Yes. The app is built for low bandwidth, requesting summary data first and detail on demand, so a dashboard loads on a poor signal.
We want an app for our customers, not just for us. Can you build that?
Yes — that is a separate build and something we do regularly. A customer-facing app for loyalty balances, prepaid top-ups, station finder and fleet reporting is a natural extension of the card platform. See mobile app development.
