Who we are
Cedars Software Solutions (“we”, “us”) is a software company registered in Lebanon, with its head office at Liberty Tower, 9th Floor, Hamra, Beirut, Lebanon. We operate the website at cedarssoftware.com. For any question about this policy or your data, contact info@cedarssoftware.com or call +961 81 224 002.
What we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us. Specifically:
- Enquiry form data. Your name, company or station name, email address, phone number, area of interest, number of sites, and your message.
- Technical data. The IP address and timestamp associated with a form submission, recorded for security and abuse prevention.
- Correspondence. Anything you subsequently send us by email, phone or WhatsApp in connection with your enquiry.
We do not require you to create an account to use this website, and we do not ask for payment details through it.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the information, demo, survey or quotation you asked for.
- To follow up on a live commercial conversation you have started with us.
- To keep a record of enquiries for our own business administration.
- To detect and prevent spam and abuse of our forms.
We do not use your details for unrelated marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list on the basis of an enquiry.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
- We do not build advertising profiles from your visit.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets a single session cookie when you use the contact form. Its only purpose is to protect the form against cross-site request forgery, and it expires when you close your browser. It does not track you, and it is not used for advertising.
The site loads a web font from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google’s servers to retrieve that font file. That request is subject to Google’s own privacy terms. No other third-party service receives data from your visit.
If we introduce analytics in future, this policy will be updated before it is deployed, and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We retain enquiry records for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to meet our own legal and accounting obligations. Where an enquiry does not lead to a commercial relationship, we delete it once it is no longer commercially relevant. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Where it is stored
Enquiry data is stored on the infrastructure hosting this website and in the email systems we use to correspond with you. Access is restricted to the members of our team who need it in order to respond to you.
Client operational data
This policy covers the website only. Where you are a client using one of our platforms — for example our fuel station automation system — your operational data belongs to you. We access it only for support and maintenance work you have requested, or where necessary to keep the system running. Data ownership, access, retention and export are governed by your service agreement with us, not by this website policy.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you;
- correct anything inaccurate;
- delete your data, where we have no continuing legal or contractual reason to keep it;
- stop contacting you.
Write to info@cedarssoftware.com and we will respond within a reasonable period. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request, to make sure we are not disclosing someone else’s data.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data we hold, including encrypted transport, access control, and validation on all form submissions. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise; if a breach affecting your data occurs, we will act promptly and inform those affected where we are required to.
Children
This website is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16 through this site.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the applicable law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
This policy describes our actual practices in plain language. It is not a substitute for legal advice. If you need a formal data processing agreement for a commercial engagement, contact us and we will provide one.
